This is a Carlson American Revolutionary Soldier doll, #8-106. There are several variations on this doll. Older versions will have red trim on the jacket instead of white, and white straps instead of black.

  I purchased this doll on eBay in August 2010. I am not certain if this version should have a weapon or not.
